This tutorial shows how to move employees between companies inside Payroll Mate® software.

Make sure you have the correct Company open inside Payroll Mate
- Click → Reports from shortcuts
- Click → Employee List
- Click → Report Options
- Select beginning and ending pay dates
- Click → OK
- Click → Preview – Export (Report preview will open)
- In preview window, Click → File
- Select Export To → CSV Document
- Select location to save the CSV file
- Click → Save
Open the CSV file inside a spreadsheet program such as Excel
- Edit the employee data to the Payroll Mate format, then Save the CSV file
Go back into Payroll Mate
- Click → File
- Select Open Company
- Select the company to import employees into
- Click → OK
- Click → Tools
- Select Import Employees
- Payroll Mate Import utility will open, Click → Step (1) Click here to Load a generic CSV file
- Select saved CSV file
- Click → Open
- Read the import information regarding importing employees
- Click → OK
- Map each column
- Click → Step (2) Click here to Import the list of employees into Payroll Mate
